Monster Island (2019) Review

Monster Island, The Asylum’s 2019 mockbuster, was released at the exact same time as Godzilla King of the Monsters. The movie is about an Island called Monster Island where a monster might be discovered.


As an asylum film, it has the budget of a huge kid's meal and utilizes it wisely, concentrating on a few human characters and keeping its big stars in one set where all their sequences can be recorded during lunch break. However, keep in mind that this is the kaiju genre, (more information) and well... that's how they go, so maybe The Asylum won't do such an awful job with it?
